Towel homespun cotton circa 1900 This is a cotton homespun towel circa 1900, or perhaps a bit earlier. This towel measures 15 by 21.5 inches, the hems are hand stitched. There is a narrow band of decorative weave at each end. This towel is in good condition, I have washed and pressed it.

Hand towel linen damask circa 1910 monogram This is a nice linen damask towel with monogram circa 1910. This towel measures 17 by 32 inches, the hems are hand stitched with drawnwork at each end, there is a hand embroidered CSG monogram inside a damask oval at one end. The towel is in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it.

This towel measures 22 by 37 inches not counting the 4 inch hand knotted fringe on each end. The damask pattern is of poppies with an open weave center, very pretty! The towel is in very good condition, I have washed and pressed it.

Signed antique linen damask towel with fringe 1890 This is a lovely signed antique linen damask towel with fringe from the late 1800's. This towel measures 22 by 35 inches not counting the 2 inch hand knotted fringe on each end., the signature at the corner of one end reads C.D.J. in old ink. The damask pattern is of fuschia and tulips, very pretty! The fringe is worn and there is a teensy light brown stain at one end, it is otherwise in good condition, I have washed and pressed it.

This towel measures 22 by 40 inches not counting the 5 inch long hand knotted fringe on each end. The damask pattern is floral with vines. Linen towel with embroidered flowers circa 1900-1920 This is a linen towel with embroidered flowers circa 1900-1920's. This towel measures 24 by 44 inches, the hems are hemstitched with a row of drawnwork, on one end of the towel are lovely machine embroidered flowers. There are 2 tiny holes, the towel is otherwise in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it. The linen is very soft and drapey as only antique linen can be.

Pair linen damask towels hand embroidered mono circa 1910 This is a beautiful pair of linen damask towels with a hand embroidered MTC monogram circa 1910. These cream linen towels measure 25 by 38.5 inches, the hems are hand stitched with a row of drawn work. The damask pattern is of big garden roses on a trellis, lovely detail! The hand embroidered monogram is skillfully hand embroidered onto the front in old English letters. These towels are in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed them. The linen is this. soft and sturdy, they appear little used.

Early homespun linen fringed towel monogram early 1800s This is an early homespun linen towel with fringe and hand embroidered monogram from the early 1800's. This cream towel measures 24 by 45 inches counting the 3.5 inch fringe on each end. The nicely hand embroidered monogram reads HKA the needle work is very skilled. The linen is thick but not coarse and tightly woven with a substantial feel. This towel is in very good condition with some wear to the fringe which is to be expected, there is also a peas size stain on one edge, I have washed and pressed it. This is a wonderful early towel!

Homespun linen towel or bath sheet hand embroidered circa 1840 This is a homespun linen towel or bath sheet with hand embroidered monogram circa early-mid 1800s. This towel measures 33 by 60 inches not including the fringe, this is a rare size for early towels , the cross stitched monogram in pink white and red reads V (I believe the cross stitching was added at a later time) it is however well done. There is wear to the fringe which is pictured and not unexpected for a towel this age, the towel is otherwise in very good condition, I have washed and pressed it. The linen is of medium weight, with a nice slubby texture that would be great for getting dry fast. There were 2 of these large towels, each different that came from the same estate.

Linen damask towel stag mono, with provenance c1900 Linen damask towel stag mono, with provenance c1900. This white linen damask towel measures 24.5 by 44 inches, the hems are stitched by hand and is decorated with rows of fancy hand drawn work. Centered at one end is a hand embroidered stag monogram, beautiful handwork! The linen is of very fine quality! There are some small brown specs, the towel is otherwise in very good condition, I have washed and pressed it. This towel came from the Iselin estate, a direct descendent of Charles Oliver Iselin Captain of the winning yachts of the America’s Cup fame in Premium Point, New Rochelle NY in the early 1900s who traveled widely and enjoyed high quality items. When I bought them, these linens were stored in the best (Goyard and Louis Vuitton trunks no less). I will include some family history to the buyer when I ship the towel.
