Circa: 1940s Condition: excellent Size: 80 by 128 inches Color: white, pink, green, yellow Country of Origin: France Manufacturer: French linens
French linen and cotton sheet hand embroidered sea roses ladder work circa 1940s. This white sheet measures 80 by 128 inches, will fit a queen bed depending on how much overhand you like. The sheet has a machine stitched bottom hem, the top hem is stitched by hand with a wide row of hand wrapped ladder work, across the width of the top are beautifully hand embroidered sea rose stems in perfect bloom, the colors are vivid and fresh, so pretty! This sheet is in excellent condition, it has been washed and pressed. I REALLY love the realistic colors and skill involved in creating such lifelike roses. looks like Rosa Rugosa to me. |
