Circa: mid 1900s Condition: excellent Size: 42 inches square and 13 inches Color: white, pink, blue, green Country of Origin: Portugal
Unused linen and organdy tablecloth and napkin set with Morning glories from Madeira Mid 1900s. This white linen set consists of an organdy tablecloth measuring 42 inches square and 4 napkins 13 inches square. The tablecloth has scalloped edges with hand embroidered buttonhole stitches in white, there are lovely blue and pink hand appliquéd Morning glories embellished with green hand embroidered stems and leaves, the napkins also have the same design in one corner of each. This set is in excellent, unused condition, I washed and ironed it for the first time to remove old storage marks. This set came from an estate that had the best of everything, Marghab, Porthault, Leron, and the very best Madeira for the table. |
