Early linen Point de Venise needle lace circa 2nd half 1600s. This ecru lace measures 3.75 by 37.5 inches, the top edging was added at a later date, the little needle lace stitches need magnification to see, pleasing repeat floral design typical of the time period. The lace is in fair condition, there are holes and repairs, some good, some not so good, this is a good piece for study. |
