Circa: 1800s Condition: excellent, unused Size: 14.5 inches square Color: cream Country of Origin: France Manufacturer: France
Unused linen hankie with finely hand embroidered Monogram and butterfly circa 1800s. This hankie measures 14.5 inches square, the hems are hand stitched with a row of drawnwork and tiny little almost invisible stitches, in one corner are the hand embroidered initials AFS, the letters have very fine details like sanding with little vines and flowers around them, gorgeous handwork! The hankie is in excellent, clean, unused condition. There were 12 of these hankies, all from the same estate, with the same initials but the design of the initials was done differently on each hanky, beautiful, skilled handwork and great attention to detail on these! |
