Fine, sheer antique curtain with handmade lace and embroidery circa 1920-30s. This curtain measures 56 inches wide and 98 inches in length, the design elements are floral with large beautiful garden roses rendered in handmade filet lace at the bottom and a large center insert, this is framed with hand drawn work, and handmade Cluny lace with cutwork and hand embroidered flowers in an arch over the roses, very lovely! The curtain is edged at the sides with handmade Torchon lace. There are 8 small hand darns and a few small repairs in the bottom lace, the curtain is otherwise in very good condition, I have washed and pressed it. |
