| Fabulous Ivory handle hair brush with sterling crown monogram circa 1800s. This brush measures 9 inches long and is 2.75 inches wide, the natural boar bristles are 3.5 inches wide and 1 inch long, the substantial silver inlay monogram measures 2 by 1.25 inches. I absolutely love the monogram a majestic LLC (or however you wish to arrange the letters) with the crown, this obviously belonged to a member of the nobility. This brush is in good condition but not perfect, there are some missing bristles at the sides, a few small tight cracks in the ivory at the top end and sides (pictured), these are all consistent with normal use. This would look great on the dresser or placed on a lovely table just so...you could pretend to have royal connections! |
