| Beautiful, heavily hand embroidered linen bedspread circa about 1900. This linen bedspread measures 82 inches wide by 108 inches in length, it is shown on a queen bed. The spread has scalloped edges heavily hand embroidered with flowers, and leaflets with cutwork diamonds and swags, in the center is a hand embroidered cartouche in which one could have a monogram if desired. Beautiful handwork! The spread is made so that the top flips over the pillows and the embroidery will show right side up over the pillows. There are several small well done hand darns mostly in the bottom corners, the spread is otherwise in good condition, I have washed and pressed it. |
