Hand made, hand tooled leather belt. This item came from a lot that belonged to the wife of a missionary from the early 1900s, I guessing this is from the same time frame, but I am just guessing. The belt measures 1.75 by 28 inches, the top leather is wine colored with white and turquoise designs, the back is white, the stitching is done by hand, the ends are blunt, there are no markings and no holes or buckles, handmade belts are usually made this way so the buyer can choose their own buckle and have it put on. The belt is rather grubby from long storage which should clean up with a good leather cleaner, it is otherwise in excellent condition, the leather is soft and supple. |
