Pretty linen sheet with hand embroidered scalloped edge and monogram circa early 1900s. This white linen sheet measures 87 by 102 inches, it will fit a queen bed with a 13.5 inch drape on each side. The top hem of the sheet is scalloped with 2 rows of hand cut and embroidered circles with a scripted hand embroidered LK monogram centered over the top, the bottom hem is machine stitched. There are 3 hand darns a tiny stain and about 6 pinholes in one corner, it is otherwise in good condition, I have washed and pressed it. The linen is very soft, of spring/summer weight with a fine drapiness found only in antique linens. |
