Circa: 1930s Condition: unused, excellent Size: 13 by 36 inches Color: cream, blue, brown Country of Origin: Japan
Wonderful unused traditional hand stenciled Japanese Indigo panel circa 1930s from the Charles E. Mullin collection. This cotton panel measures 13 by 36 inches, it belonged to Charles Mullin who was famous for his work in color and textile dyeing techniques. He was a great collector of textiles with unique coloring, style and dye used, this panel came from that collection. The design on this panel shows 2 lovely mermaids amid soap bubbles. The panel is unused, there is age patina, it is in excellent condition, I have not washed it so it retains its original sizing. Great for framing, display or use. |
