| Fine homespun French linen sheet and pillowcase set with wrapped drawnwork circs last quarter of the 1800s. This cream linen set consists of a sheet measuring 68 by 106 and a matching pillow case 19.5 by 37 inches. The ends of the sheet and case have a beautifully hand wrapped drawnwork edge and a hand embroidered CSL monogram centered over the drawnwork, the pillowcase has the same, all the seams are hand stitched, the fabric is hand woven in a good sturdy weight, these will last a VERY long time! The pillowcase is in excellent condition, the sheet has a small spot of fray at the bottom edge about 1/2 inch long, it is otherwise in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed them. Wonderful fine French handwork! |
