Cotton sheet with hand crochet lace circa 1910-30s. This sheet measures 100 inches square, it has a 27 inch turndown which has hand crochet lace across the top and down the length of the turndown, it is made of three panels of cotton sticthed together lengthwise forming 2 flat seams, the top and bottom hems are machine stitched,it was obviously stitched up in someone's home. I have washed and pressed it but there are still a few small age stains remaining that should soak out with another wash or 2, it is otherwise in good condition. The cotton is sturdy and crisp, the antique kind that will wear well. |
