Pretty handmade whitework hankie signed MM Lorraine, circa about mid 1800s. This hanky measures aprox 16 inches square, the hems are hand stitched, each corner has a hand embroidered bouquet of flowers with scrolls, stems and leaves, fine handwork, in one corner over the embroidery is the name M.M. Lorraine written in ink. There are holes in the center fabric that can be seen in the pictures, still its a lovely signed piece. |
