| This is a matching tablecloth and set of 12 very high quality linen damask formal dinner napkins with hand embroidered monogram circa 1900. The set consists of a tablecloth measuring 70 by 104 and the napkins measuring 23 by 23.5 inches, the hems are hand stitched in almost invisible teensy stitches, the monogram is centered in the napkin and on opposite sides of the center circle on the tablecloth reads FFA, the center letter has a bit of lace done inside it, very posh. The damask design is classic with acanthus leaves with curling fronds and such. There are 2 small well done hand darns next to one of the monograms on the tablecloth and a small faint smudge on one napkin, the set is otherwise in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed them. This is the really good stuff, the linen fabric has an incredible silky, soft, drapey hand that you cannot find in today's table linens, only the really fine quality antique linens feel like this! |
