| This is a cotton bedspread with hand appliquéd morning Glories and lace circa 1930's. This bedspread measures 74 by 103 inches, it will fit a 3/4 or a full bed, it is shown on a queen bed. The delightful patter shows colorful morning glories hand appliquéd and embellished with hand embroidered details and tendrils in the center of the spread and the head of it, lovely handwork. All the stitching is done by hand expect that the lace is machine stitched to the hem, this I believe was added at a later time and would be easy to remove if one wished to. There are a few brown spots in one area (some of these are pictured) the spread is otherwise in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it. The cotton is of medium weight and quite sturdy. I love the cheery colors! |
