| This is a set of 4 early homespun linen napkins signed H. Sterling circa 1800. These napkins measure 25 by 28 inches, the hems are stitched by hand using tiny almost invisible stitches, the pattern is an early geometric seen in the early linens. These napkins aren't perfect, one has one small hole the other 3 have a few small holes, they are otherwise in good condition, I have washed and pressed them. The linen is of a good weight and still sturdy, they are lovely examples of skilled early weaving. |
