Circa: 1950 Condition: used very good Size: 58 by 116 and 18 by 19 inches Color: cream, hand painted flowers Country of Origin: Japan Manufacturer: Japanese textiles
This is a Japanese hand painted cotton rayon blend damask tablecloth and napkin set from the mid 1900’s. This set consists of a tablecloth measuring 58 by 116 inches and 8 napkins 18 by 19 inches. The napkins are a different color from the tablecloth as the tablecloth is creamy white and the napkins are champaign, perhaps they were bought later, the pattern is the same however, all pieces have hand stitched hems, the damask pattern is a concentric scallop with painted flowers radiating from an oval in the center, quite striking with the colors! The napkins are in excellent condition, the tablecloth has some small thin spots, it is otherwise in good condition, I have washed and pressed it. |
