| This is a fabulous linen damask tablecloth set with 22 matching napkins all with monogram from the very early 1900’s. The tablecloth measures 72 by 104, the napkins are in 2 sizes 12 are 24 by 23 inches and 10 are 21 inches square, all of them match the tablecloth, the monogram reads SLK, it is centered on each napkin and there are 2 monograms centered to each end of the tablecloth. The damask pattern is very neo-classic with scrolls, acanthus leaves and lyres in the corners, very beautiful! All the hems are hand turned and stitched, the linen is of very high QUALITY! There is a very faint stain on one of the smaller napkins, the set is otherwise in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it. The linen is silky smooth, weighty, cool to touch and superbly drapey as only antique linen can be! They don’t make them like this anymore! Sets are very difficult to come by with 22 matching napkins! |
