This cream lace measures 2.5 by 191 inches (5 yards 11 inches), the design elements are organic with lovely little flowers, I have my fingers in one of the pics to show how fine the handwork is. This lace is in excellent, strong condition. This came from a family that has been dealing in lace since the mid 1800s, this was part of their private collection, I will give the provenance to the buyer. This is nice early lace in yardage.

This lace would be great on a wedding veil.

The design elements are organic with stylized flowers in a pretty, flowing, scrolling pattern, lovely handwork. There are 2 small stains, this lace is otherwise in excellent, strong condition, quite remarkable, really. This came from a family that has been dealing in lace since the mid 1800s, this was part of their private collection, I will give the provenance to the buyer. This lace has the wonderful hand of early linen, buttery soft and smooth.

The design elements are organic with flowers scattered over the handmade mesh, lovely handwork! There are 4 little broken bridges; the tie is otherwise in excellent condition. This came from a family that has been dealing in lace since the mid 1800s, this was part of their private collection, I will give the provenance to the buyer. This piece could still be used today.

Handmade Point Argentan needle lace circa 1780 Handmade Point Argentan needle lace circa 1780. There are 2 lengths of this ecru French lace, one measures 3 by 125 inches and the other 3 by 39 inches for a total of 164 inches (4.55 yards). The mesh of this lace is made using tiny buttonhole stitches that you need magnification to see, the design elements are organic. This lace requires skill and a great deal of time to make, it is museum quality and in excellent, strong condition. This came from a family that has been dealing in lace since the mid 1800s, this was part of their private collection, I will give the provenance to the buyer. This is a rare, difficult lace to find.

There is a pink stain a bit over and inch wide, the lace is otherwise in excellent, strong condition. This came from a family that has been dealing in lace since the mid 1800s, this was part of their private collection, I will give the provenance to the buyer. It’s hard to find lace like this in yardage.

18thC handmade Mechlin lace museum de-accession Handmade Mechlin lace lot late 18th century (1790s) museum de-accession. There are 4 pieces of this lace all matching, 2 lengths are seamed in the center they measure 12 by 2.25 each or 24 inches in length if laid out flat, the other 2 pieces each measure 1.5 by 32 inches for a total of 112 inches. The wider lengths still have the mesh attached to them with the distinctive Mechlin design that uses 2 parallel sides of 4 strand braids an 4 twisted pairs. This lace is in very good clean condition.
Circa: 1790
Condition: Used very good
Size: 2 by 2.25 each or 24 inches in length if laid out flat, the other 2 pieces each measure 1.5 by 32 inches for a total of 112 inch
