Wide handmade filet lace yardage circa early 1900s Wide handmade filet lace yardage circa early 1900s. This lace measures 7 inches deep and is 5 yards 28 inches long (208 inches total), the design elements are floral with a swagged scalloped edge, the flowers have interesting stitch variations in the centers. There are some dark stains in the last yard and 1/2 of this lace, I am not certain if they will soak out, the lace is otherwise in very good condition. There is quite alot of lace here, enough to add on to a king sheet with lace left over.

Wide Handmade Burano lace 2pcs circa 1800s Lovely handmade, wide Burano lace, 2 pcs circa 1800s. One piece measures 6 by 20 inches and the other 6 by 23.5 inches, both laces are all handmade, including the mesh, the hazy appearance of the lace distinguishes it from Alencon, they are otherwise quite similar. The design elements are floral with little flowers spread over the body and stems of flowers at the scalloped bottom, very pretty pattern! The lace is in excellent, clean condition, the color is ecru.

Cotton lace flounce circa late 1800s Cotton lace petticoat flounce with lace circa late 1800s. This cream flounce measures 10 by 88 inches if opened out and laid flat, the lace is 4.5 inches deep and if removed would be quite a bit longer than the flounce since it is ruffled. There are 3 holes about 1/2 inch wide in the lace, it is otherwise good, there are some stains that should soak out.

Early hand embroidered Limerick lace circa early 1800s Early hand embroidered Limerick lace circa early 1800s. This ecru lace measures 66 by 5 inches with a seam to make a loop 33 inches long. This lace is made using machine made net and hand embroidering the designs onto the net with teensy little stitches, the scalloped edge at the bottom is interesting. There are 2 very small holes at the top of the mesh, the lace is otherwise in very good condition, cleaning will lighten it a bit.

Antique Brussels Point de Gaze lace handmade circa 1850-70s Handmade Brussels Point de Gaze lace circa 1850-70s. This ecru lace is all the same lace, the top piece is 2 lengths joined together which could easily be taken apart if desired. The top piece measures 26 by 6.5 inches, the middle piece 18 by 3.25 inches and the bottom piece 21 by 3.25 for a total of 70 inches of lace if you separated the top piece. The design elements are floral with lovely roses with extra petals, fine handwork! The top piece has about 7 small holes total in the mesh, the middle piece 8 small holes, and the bottom piece 5 small holes, the lace is otherwise in good condition. This is beautiful lace that required skill and patience to make.
Circa: 1850-70s
Condition: very good, minor flaws
Size: 3.25 by 70 inches total

Wide handmade Irish Limerick lace flounce circa 1830s Large, wide very finely done Limerick lace flounce, circa 1830s measures 17.5 by 4yards 4 inches, machine made lace with designs added by hand with a needle, beautiful handwork, a superb example of this type of lace at its best. There are flaws, a 3 inch repair, poorly done, a 2.5 inch L shaped tear, several tiny holes in the mesh at the top and 2 1/2 inch holes near the bottom, its otherwise good, the lace is very soft and light.

This ivory colored lace flounce measures 102 by 8.5 inches, the lace is made using a machine made mesh and hand embroidering the designs onto the mesh. The design has a lovely scalloped edge with embroidered dots making the pattern. There is a center join, the lace is in excellent condition.

Early handmade linen Flemish bobbin lace circa late 1600s Late 17th century (1600s) handmade linen Flemish lace de-accessioned from a museum with tag. This lovely lace has a strip of 3/4 inch hand woven linen at one edge, the lace is hand stitched to the linen using tiny stitches in 3 lengths as follows one length 35 inches, one length 92 inches and one length 36 inches, the total is 163 inches (4.5 yards), it is 4.25 inches deep including the linen fabric which was most likely made at the same time period the lace was. The museum tag reads Flemish Lace altar piece late 17th century. The lace design had the swirling patterns typical of that time period. There are a few small holes in the lace, but it is in remarkable condition for its age, its still pliant and strong. This is a marvelous example of very early linen bobbin lace!
