Quality linen damask tablecloth 12 large napkin set provenance c 1880-90s Fine QUALITY linen damask tablecloth and 12 large napkins with hand embroidered monogram and family provenance circa 1880-90s. This soft white linen set consists of a tablecloth measuring 62 by 86 inches and 12 napkins 25.5 by 27.5 inches. The tablecloth has a small EMB monogram centered on each end and the napkins have the same matching monogram in one corner, the damask pattern has a variety of flowers and vines, very pretty, the embroidery work is beautifully done. The tablecloth has 1 small light stain, 1 napkin has 2 small stains and 1 has a gray spec, the set is otherwise in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it. The linen is of high quality, it is very soft, smooth with a weighty drape and hand, the original owner was the daughter of a well to do industrialist, I will send the provenance as told to me by the family along with the set.

Art Nouveau linen damask tablecloth 11 napkin set late 1800s Lovely Art Nouveau linen damask tablecloth and napkin set circa late 1800s. This white linen set consists of a tablecloth measuring 78 by 86 inches and 11 napkins 24.5 by 25 inches. The design elements are classic Art Nouveau with flowing lines, feathery leaves and stylized, organic, curving flowers. The hand embroidered monogram reads EM, nice handwork. The tablecloth has one hole about 3mm in size, The napkins have small specs on 3, an inch wide darn on 1, a smudge on 1, and 2 light blue stains on 1, they are otherwise in good shape, I have washed and pressed them. I will include the provenance as told to me by a family member. Art Nouveau is difficult to find in linens.

6096
Set 2 linen double damask tablecloths 16 formal napkins prov. late 1800s Large set of 2 linen double damask tablecloths and 16 formal napkins with hand embroidered monogram and provenance circa late 1800s. This substantial white linen set consists of 2 tablecloths 80 by 88 inches each and 16 napkins 28 by 30 inches, the damask pattern is classic with urns, flowers, swags and fruit, very lovely, all pieces have a gorgeously hand embroidered EMB monogram in one corner, really fine handwork! The napkins are huge! One tablecloth has an expert hand darn, one has a teensy hole about 3mm near the end, 2 napkins have a light line, 3 have a small spot and 1 napkin has 4 very small stains, I did not see any holes when I looked them over, the set is in very good condition, I have washed and pressed them. I will send the provenance as told to me with the set. Large set of big napkins like this are REALLY hard to find, if you have a really long table both cloths could be used overlapped slightly. This size would also work on round tables, square or rectangular. This is a high end set, the good stuff!
Circa: late 1800s
Condition: very good
Size: 27 by 30 inches and 80 by 88 inches

8 linen damask napkins Crown and G monogram Princely provenance dated 1905 This is a set of 8 linen damask napkins with a hand embroidered Crown and G monogram dated 1905, this set belonged to George II of the Princely House of Saxe-Meiningen (HH Reigning Duke George II of Saxe-Meiningen and Hildburghausen) . These beautiful napkins measure 32 by 37 inches, the hems are hand stitched with teensy almost invisible stitches, lovely handwork. The damask pattern is a very stylized floral with curlicues and leaves. The napkins appear to have very little use, they are in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed them. The linen is of the highest quality as one would expect linens owned by royalty to be, incredible hand and drape! These are really fabulous napkins!

4868
Linen damask napkins figural chinz Crown mono Princely provenance This is a set of 13 linen damask napkins in a figural Chintz pattern with a hand embroidered red Crown and G monogram circa about 1870-80's, These napkins belonged to George II of the Princely House of Saxe-Meiningen (HH Reigning Duke George II of Saxe-Meiningen and Hildburghausen), they measure 31 by 37 inches, the hems are hand stitched with teensy almost invisible stitches, lovely handwork. The damask pattern shows in the center a group of people next to a pagoda getting into boats on a pond with swans in it, around the edges are more people doing various things, it looks rather Balinese to me. Every time I look at the pattern I see more things I hadn't noticed before. These napkins are fabulous but do have flaws, 4 have hand darns but are in otherwise good condition, 3 are in fair condition with hand darns and some thin spots, 5 are in very good to excellent condition and 1 has a small brown spot but is otherwise excellent, I have washed and pressed them. The linen is of the highest quality as one would expect linens owned by royalty to be, incredible hand and drape! This is a wonderful pattern!
Circa: 1870-80s

Armorial linen damask tablecloth or napkin Coat of arms Princely provenance This is a linen damask napkin (could be used as a small tablecloth) with a hand embroidered Crown and G monogram woven with the coat of arms of George II of the Princely House of Saxe-Meiningen (HH Reigning Duke George II of Saxe-Meiningen and Hildburghausen) circa very early 1900's. This piece measures 32 by 37 inches, the hems are hand stitched with teensy almost invisible stitches, lovely handwork. There is a fabulous damask coat of arms in the center, it shows lions en rampant, eagles, and 6 helmets each with a different representation on it, quite interesting! This napkin is in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed them. The linen is of the highest quality as one would expect linens owned by royalty to be, incredible hand and drape! This would also show beautifully framed! This is a rare piece with this pattern on it.
