This spread measures 82 inches square, along the side are the Bates crown with the Bates name inside one either side of the crown it states Pat. #4 182. The design is of swags, floral wreaths, along with flower swags and dots., the edges are machine stitched . There are 2 small stains about pea size, the spread is otherwise in excellent condition, I have washed it and dried it outside in our fresh New Hampshire air and sunshine so its ready to use on your bed!. This is a heavy substantial bedspread and should wear like the proverbial iron.

Cotton bedspread hand appliqued embroidered morning glories circa 1930's This is a cotton bedspread with hand appliquéd morning Glories and lace circa 1930's. This bedspread measures 74 by 103 inches, it will fit a 3/4 or a full bed, it is shown on a queen bed. The delightful patter shows colorful morning glories hand appliquéd and embellished with hand embroidered details and tendrils in the center of the spread and the head of it, lovely handwork. All the stitching is done by hand expect that the lace is machine stitched to the hem, this I believe was added at a later time and would be easy to remove if one wished to. There are a few brown spots in one area (some of these are pictured) the spread is otherwise in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it. The cotton is of medium weight and quite sturdy. I love the cheery colors!

Handmade linen blend mattress and bolster covers all hand stitched 1850-90s Handmade hemp, cotton and linen blend mattress and bolster covers all hand stitched circa 1850-90s. The bolster cover measures 32 by 50 inches, there are 3 bone buttons for closure down one side, all the seams and stitching is done by a skilled hand. The mattress cover measures 56 by 80 inches, it has 3 metal buttons, it also is hand stitched, they came from the same estate so probably were made by the same person with the same careful stitching and construction.
