Society silk and linen doily circa about 1900 Pretty society silk and linen doily circa about 1900. This cream linen doily measures 8 inches in diameter, the design elements are floral. Society silk pieces were those pieces done by well to do ladies who had the money and the skill to work in silk, these were the pieces they took with them to work on when they went on social calls and such to show off their needle working skills and were often presented as cherished gifts. There are some small light stains and small areas where the dye has bled onto the fabric a bit, this piece is otherwise in good condition, I have washed and pressed it.

Society silk and linen doily blue forget-me-nots circa 1900 Striking society silk and linen doily with blue forget me nots circa 1900. This cream linen doily measures 11 inches in diameter, the edges are scalloped with white silk embroidery, inside the edges are sprigs of blue forget me nots with bright green stems and leaves, the contrast is so striking and lovely! There is a light stain near the edge, the piece is otherwise in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it. This cream linen doily measures 9.5 inches in diameter, the scalloped edges are embroidered in light gold silk, there are light peach and gold colored silk violets around the edges. There are 2 little pinholes in the linen, the piece is otherwise in very good condition, I have washed and pressed it.

This natural linen coaster measures 8 inches in diameter, the hand embroidered flowers are red carnations, the scalloped edges are hand embroidered. Handmade cotton doily dog figure chrochet lace early 1900s Charming, handmade cotton doily with dog figure crochet lace circa early 1900s. This white doily measures 13.5 by 19 inches, the lace is hand stitched to the fabric. The piece is in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it. This could very easily be made into a small pillow sham by stitching a piece of fabric to the back.

Handmade cherub figural crochet lace doily antimacassar late 1800s Handmade cotton figural crochet lace antimacassar or doily circa late 1800s-early 1900s. This cream doily measures 17 by 18 inches, the tassels are and extra 7 inches long. The design elements show a cherub profile on each side at the top with an urn of flowers on the bottom. There is a small hole at the top corner, it is otherwise in very good condition, I have washed and pressed it. The picture shows tangle threads on the tassels, I have since untangled them.
Circa: late 1800s
