Pair cotton pillow cases hand embroidered circa 1900-20s This is a pair of cotton pillow cases with hand embroidery circa 1900-20s. These white cotton (there may be a little linen in the weave too) cases measure 26.5 by 30.5 inches, the hand embroidered design has dainty little embroidered flowers clustered in the corners and in a line along 3 edges of the case, one side is plain. The back had a button closure at one time, but this has been stitched together and a side opening was made to make these more like pillow cases rather than shams, the work was neatly done.
