Simple linen pillowcase using weighty linen, circa early 1900s. This pillowcase measures 16.5 by 33 inches, the seams are machine stitched as is the hem. Simple and serviceable, it will last a lifetime. This pillowcase is in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it.

Cotton pillow case with handmade tatted lace circa 1920-30s
Cotton pillow case with hand made tatted lace circa 1920-30s. This pillowcase measures 15 by 18.5 not counting the 4.5 inch hand tatted lace at the edge. The hem is hand hem stitched and the Frenched seam is machine stitched. This sham has one broken bridge in the lace, it is otherwise in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it. The cotton fabric is the sturdy kind you find on antique sheets that wears like iron.

Set of 3 cotton pillowcases with hand crocheted trim circa 1910-30s. These cases measure 18 by 33 inches, the side seams are Frenched and stitched on a machine, the hand crochet lace folds over the top as a closure. These cases were obviously stitched up at home, they are in very good condition, I have washed and pressed them. The cotton is the crisp, sturdy antique kind that wears well.

Cotton layover sham with hand crochet lace circa 1910-30s. This sham measures about 30 inches square not counting the 3 inch lace, it is machine stitched, obviously in someone's home. The sham is in good condition, I have washed and pressed it.

Large cotton pillow sham lace and nuns pleats ruffles circa 1800s
Large cotton pillow sham with lace, and nuns pleats ruffles from the 1800s. This sham measures 35.5 by 39 inches, it takes a pillow 32 inches square. The 2 upper corners have handmade crochet lace inserts with a hand embroidered MN monogram in between. There are 3 small holes and one dime size darn on the back, the sham is otherwise in good condition, I have washed and pressed it. The cotton is very soft yet crisp as the antique cotton is.

Fine pair of peach linen pillowcases with hand embroidery circa 1930-40s. These pillowcases measure 19.5 by 35 inches, the beautifully hand embroidered monogram reads F. These pillowcases are seldom used and in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed them. The linen is of very high quality with a high thread count, its soft and weighty with that special antique linen hand! Antique colored linens are hard to find, I love the soft peach color of these!

Linen Pillowcase or bolster cover hand embroidered circa 1920s
Fine linen bolster cover or pillowcase with pretty hand embroidered ends circa 1920s. This white linen pillow cover or sham measures 18.5 by 56 inches, both ends are open and have lovely hand scalloped edges that are hand embroidered with cutwork and lovely little flowers, there is a cartouche in the center of the end where one could put a monogram. There is an inch long tear at one of the open corners, the case is otherwise in very good condition, I have washed and pressed it. The linen is very soft and smooth with that buttery hand only antique linen has!

Pretty pair of linen pillowcases with handmade tatted lace circa 1920s. These white pillowcases measure 21 by 33 inches with and extra 1.5 inches of lace at the ends which is hand stitched to the linen. One case has 2 small holes at the edge, it is otherwise in very good condition, the other case is excellent, I have washed and pressed them. The linen is soft and drapey.
