This sham measures 16 by 21 inches, there are 3 rows of drawnwork with needle lace in the corners, the back has a fold over closure with buttonholes. This sham is in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it.

linen pillowcase hand drawnwork This ia a lovely vintage linen pillowcase with hand drawnwork. This case measures 12 by 16.5 inches there are 3 mother of pearl buttons on the back. On the front of the cae are hand drawnwork designs, there are 2 light 3mm stains near the edge, it is otherwise in good condition, I have washed and presed it.

cotton layover sham butterflies c1900 This is a pretty cotton layover sham c1900 or earlier with butterflies! This sham measures 24 by 28 inches, it lays on top of the pillow , the edges are scalloped and finished with hand embroidered buttonhole stitches, in the bottom corners are hand cutwork butterflies with hand embroidered embellishments, very nice. This sham is in excellent condition.

Antique cotton pillowcase with lace This is a handmade cotton pillowcase with lace from the very early 1900's. This case measures 17 by 27 inches, the hem and seams are stitched on a treadle machine, the handmade lace was stiched on by hand. There is a small hole in the lace that can be seen in the picture, the case is otherwise in good condition, I have washed and pressed it.

Layover sham with hand embroidered lace circa early 1900's This is a pretty layover sham with lace from about 1900. This sham measures 24.5 by 33 inches, it has a ruffle of hand embroidered eyelet lace 3 inches deep and 3 rows of machine made Valenciennes lace. There is a ½ inch hole in the corner of the eyelet lace and several tiny holes in the cotton fabric of the body of the sham most in one corner which is pictured. Still, it’s a lovely item, I have washed and pressed it.

Pair handmade cotton pillow shams HG mono c1930's This is a pair of pretty handmade pillow shams with a hand embroidered HG monogram c1930's. These shams measure 28.5 by 30.5 inches, they are machine stitched but made by hand, the back closing is plain. each sham has a lovely hand embroidered and cutwork swag on the front with the monogram HG centered underneath, skilled embroidery. The shams are in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed them.

Pair Linen shams Oversized European with drawnwork and monogram c1920 This is a pair of oversized European linen pillow shams from the 1920’s. These shams measure 33 by 30.5 inches, they have lovely drawnwork and punchwork designs with hand embroidered embellishments. There is a hand embroidered KB monogram in the top center of each sham, the seams and back closure are machine stitched the buttonholes are done by hand. The linen is very smooth, soft, thick and SUBSTANTIAL, these are high quality shams, the kind that will last a VERY long time! The shams are in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed them. Large shams like this are difficult to find!

Pair soft linen pillow shams with monogram circa 1920s Pair of soft linen pillow shams with BJ monogram circa 1920s. These white linen shams measure 33 by 40 inches and accepts a pillow 31 by 36 inches, the design elements have hand appliqué on 3 sides in a wave pattern with hand applied BJ monogram centered at the top. One sham has a couple of slits at the bottom (pictured), they are otherwise in very good condition, I have washed and pressed them. The linen is of exceptionally fine quality, it's buttery soft with a fine hand, this is the good stuff!

Condition: 1 excellent, 1 has 2 holes

Pair linen homespun pillowcases circa 1800's NOT perfect This is a pair of homespun linen pillowcases with crochet lace edge from the 1800’s. This pair of cases measures 18.5 by 29 inches the side seams are stitched by hand, the end seam is machine stitched. These cases are NOT perfect, one has 2 pea size holes at the edge (easily darnable), it is otherwise in good condition, the other case has one good side, the other side is only fair-poor, it has a quarter size hole and several weak or thin places, I have washed and pressed them.

Linen pillow sham with hand applique sea shells early 1900's This is a linen pillow sham with hand appliqué sea shells from about 1900. The sham measures 24 by 27.5 and takes a pillow 16 by 20, the corners are mitered the back had a button closure but is missing the buttons, the stitching is a combination of hand and machine. The sham is a cream color with 3 sea shells in one corner, there is a spot with 2 pea size holes (pictured) at the edge near the shells and another spot with 3 tiny holes near the bottom 1/3 of the sham, it is otherwise in good condition, I have washed and pressed it, the linen is very soft.
