Handmade Brussels lace wedding hankie signed, circa 1860-80s
Lovely handmade Brussels lace wedding hankie signed circa about 1860-80s. This light cream hankie measures 14 inches square, the pretty lace is hand stitched to the sheer cotton fabric, there is a name in old ink in the center but I can't quite make it out, perhaps Magnolia...something. There is a pea size hole (pictured)in the mesh in one corner and 2 teensy holes in the center of the fabric, it is otherwise in good as found condition.

Lovely handmade Honiton lace and linen wedding hankie circa 1870-1900. This cream lace hankie measures 11 inches square, the lace is hand stitched to the fine linen fabric, the design elements are floral, I have my pinky in one of the pic to show how tiny the wheaters are. This hanky is in very good as found condition, it is still quite strong, the linen is soft, no holes or weaknesses.

Dalls was an importer of fine linens and laces in Canada in the 1930s, the original Dalls paper folder for the hanky is intact, the hanky is in excellent unused condition.

Dalls was an importer of fine linens and laces in Canada in the 1930s, the original Dalls paper folder for the hanky has one little tear where the flap tucks in, it is otherwise intact, the hanky is in excellent unused condition.

Fine linen French whitework hankie HM Valenciennes lace c1860-80s
Fine linen French whitework and handmade Valenciennes lace hankie, circa 1860-80s. This cream linen hankie measures 15 inches square, 1.5 inch deep Valenciennes lace. This hanky has fabulous fine skilled French whitework embroidery with teensy little needle lace fillings, each like little worlds, extremely fine, I have placed my pinky finger in one of the pics to show how tiny the needle work is. Excellent condition.
